How do I book an artist at a tattoo convention?+
Most in-demand artists release a dedicated convention booking link a few weeks before the event and take a deposit to lock the slot. Reach out before doors open, as the most requested names usually fill up before the weekend starts.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk up?+
Both work. There is almost always walk-up availability on the floor, but the strongest artists tend to book their schedules in advance. If there is someone specific you want, book ahead; if you are open to whoever has a gap, walk the floor.
What should I bring to a convention in Metz?+
Bring a valid ID, your reference images, and a way to pay both the artist and the door. Most shows charge separate daily or weekend admission on top of what the artist charges for the tattoo itself.
